schenn dad blues 1000

Durability runs in the family. Maybe its genetic?

St. Louis Blues captain Brayden Schenn just reach the 1,000 NHL game plateau on Thursday. Earlier this season, Nashville Predators defenseman Luke Schenn , his brother, also eclipsed the mark.

On Thursday, Schenn's father, Jeff, was on hand to celebrate the accomplishment.

Before Jeff Schenn took the floor, St. Louis Blues coach Jim Montgomery talked about what a rare feat it was for both Schenn brothers.

Jeff Schenn's remarks included saying he was proud of the entire Blues team, but Brayden was "my favorite Blue, its a tie for top player though, between him and his bro."

The father and son shared a nice pregame hug before the team hit the ice.
