Player to watch for point and/or assist: Jackson LaCombe, D, ANA (at VAN)

The Anaheim Ducks defenseman has a career-high 11 goals, 22 assists, 33 points, five power-play points and 111 shots on goal in 53 games. LaCombe is also averaging a career-high 21:18 this season (compared to 19:23 last season) and a team-high 23:33 since Jan 1. Over that same span, LaCombe leads Anaheim in points (19) and is tied for first in assists (14), even-strength points (15) and power-play points (three). He had three assists in his most-recent game, has nine points (two goals, seven assists) during a six-game point streak and 27 points in his past 33 games. The Ducks have won nine of their past 13 games and are tied for fifth in goals per game over that span (3.54). The Vancouver Canucks have lost four of their past five games and allowed 11 goals in their past two games, including five in Anaheim on Feb. 27. Per NHL EDGE stats, LaCombe ranks third among defensemen in high-danger shots (18) and is tied for fourth in high-danger goals (four). He also ranks highly at his position in midrange goals (four; 93rd percentile), long-range goals (three; 90th percentile), and speed bursts over 20 mph (72; 95th percentile). -- Chris Meaney

Player to watch for point and/or shots on goal: Shane Pinto, F, OTT (at CHI)

The Ottawa Senators center has 25 points (14 goals, 11 assists) in 48 games this season and three goals, four shots and 10 shot attempts in two games since returning to the lineup. Pinto has had at least one point in seven of his past eight games and 12 of his past 16 games and has 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) over that span (Jan. 11). The Chicago Blackhawks have allowed the third-most goals per game (3.48) and shots per game (31.9) this season and the most shots per game since Jan. 1 (35.3). Pinto has 11 SOG in his past four games. Per NHL EDGE stats, Pinto is in the 84th percentile in midrange goals (six) and 80th percentile in midrange shots (37). All of Pinto's 14 goals have either been from high-danger areas (eight) or midrange areas. -- Meaney

Player to watch for point and/or shots on goal: Alex Vlasic, D, CHI (vs. OTT)

The Chicago Blackhawks defenseman has led the team in time on ice in both games played since trading Seth Jones to the Florida Panthers on Saturday. He has also added a power-play assist and one shot on goal in those games as the 23-year-old has already exceeded his total of points (23), power-play points (11) and shots on goal (82) from his rookie season. Vlasic will continue to play on the Blackhawks top unit in all three situations (even strength, power play and penalty kill) as his 21 assists leads the team at his position and ranks fourth overall. Per NHL EDGE stats, Vlasic ranks highly among defensemen in both top shot speed (101.92 mph; 98th percentile) and top skating speed (22.80 mph; 91st percentile). The Ottawa Senators are winless in six of their past seven games (1-5-1) while allowing the second most goals per game (4.29) in the League during that span (30 goals allowed since Feb. 4). -- Troy Perlowitz

Player to watch for point and/or shots on goal: Pavel Dorofeyev, F, VGK (vs. TOR)

The Vegas Golden Knights wing quietly leads the team with 24 goals in 60 games this season, including 10 on the power play (only Tomas Hertl has more among Golden Knights players with 11). Dorofeyev, who had 20 goals in 67 NHL games entering this season, is the third-youngest player to lead his team outright in goals this season; only Jack Hughes (23 years, 296 days) of the New Jersey Devils and Cole Caufield (24 years, 63 days) of the Montreal Canadiens are younger than Dorofeyev (24 years, 131 days). Dorofeyev also has a team-leading 23 shots on goal over his past seven games (since Feb. 4), one more than Jack Eichel (22) has during that span. Per NHL EDGE stats, Dorofeyev ranks highly in midrange shots on goal (67; 96th percentile) and midrange goals (nine; 93rd percentile) this season. The Toronto Maple Leafs have allowed at least three goals in each of their six all-time road games against the Golden Knights (3-3-0). -- Perlowitz
