O'Reilly sign for brother

Ryan O'Reilly had 1,000 reasons to chirp his older brother on Thursday.

The Nashville Predators forward held up a funny sign to celebrate his brother Cal O’Reilly’s 1,000th AHL game at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

“Congrats on having less teeth than me,” Ryan’s sign said.

Sporting his brother’s Milwaukee Admirals jersey, the Predators star proudly held the sign up on the glass as his brother warmed up before his team’s game against the Chicago Wolves.

“I think that was the first career [game] for me being on the glass with a sign, but I thought it was pretty funny,” Ryan told the Predators website on Wednesday. “Get out there and make him laugh. It was good.”

Cal has played the bulk of his professional career with the Admirals, the Predators AHL affiliate, after being drafted by Nashville in the fifth round of the 2005 NHL Draft.
